Implant Punch
(2598 Views)
In dentistry, the term punching refers to different minimally invasive surgery techniques. Every wound carries its risks. Wound healing disorders, scars and wound infections might occur. Therefore modern medicine strives to minimize such wounds as much as possible. With the aid of the implant puncher, a hole is punched into the oral mucosa with the same diameter as the implant. The dentist doesn't need to use a scalpel nor needs to stitch the wound, since it is smaller than a tooth extraction wound. These new techniques have great advantages for patients because the invasion and the pain are truly minimal! In this video we would like to show you how implants are exposed using punching techniques.
