How to Remove Braces
(30290 Views)
The term brackets inspection refers to the removal of dental braces along with the dental brackets after the completion of an orthodontic procedure. Braces removal is a fairly painless and risk-free procedure. Although, some patients do experience certain amount of discomfort during the process. In this process the wire forming the dental braces is removed first and then the brackets are carefully removed with the help of special pliers. After this the glue used for the brackets needs to be removed completely. The glue is removed using a special grinder, which while removing the glue does not erode the dental enamel. Post the removal of dental braces, polishing of the teeth is also necessary to remove the stains and discoloration caused by prolonged use of the dental braces. The risks associated with braces removal are minimal. Nevertheless, things might go awry while the dentist is in the process to remove braces. During braces removal, the dentist needs to be extremely careful, as even a slight mistake can result in melting fractures, melting cracks or melting discoloration. The removal of dental braces can also cause injury to neighbouring teeth. Secondary caries is another risk associated with the process of braces removal.
