I'm a 'newbie' here. I have just had a x-ray for an appointment I have tomorrow with my dentist and I am a little worried.
The results state...
The detention is as demonstrated.
A 3 mm deep lucent area by the posterior of the left lower second molar is demonstrated.
As ovoid 15 mm area of sclerosis involving the right mandibular ramus is demonstrated. This may represent a bone island or be due to a composite shadow. A low CT scan could be preformed for further assessment.
What are most likely occasional bilateral tonsillar clacifications are also evident.
Its the bit about the 15 mm area of sclerosis that is worrying me and the need to do a CT scan.
Does anyone know what these results mean?
