I had my wisdom tooth on the bottom left hand side removed six days ago. The swelling had gone down but I am still having pain in my mouth now. The pain is on the bottom second molar on the left side. Is this related to the wisdom tooth removal? I was wondering if the tooth was traumatized during the extraction of the wisdom tooth beside it. My gum on the extraction site is healing fast. I don’t feel any pain in there. So does anyone have any idea what could be causing the pain? I would be thankful for any input.

If it is not a dry socket, it could be:
Trauma to the tooth next to it.
Spasm of the jaw muscles after the injection.
Post-op infection.
Return to the treating dentist and have him take a look at it.

Yep, it could pretty much be what you think it is. Damage to adjacent teeth is a potential complication to surgical extractions. All that work on your wisdom tooth could have probably stressed the socket and your second molar. I'd say wait this one out for a couple more days and if it doesn't feel any better, call your surgeon.
Good luck!
