I had my wisdom tooth pulled 4 days ago, and the wound still hurts. I dont know how dry socket feels or looks like..so i dont know if i may have it. Or is it just healing, and the pain is normal.? I had a tooth pulled a few months ago and didnt experience this then...help?

Dry socket gives severe pain which no pain reliever can relieve for very long. A normally healing extraction wound can give low-grade pain for as much as a week.

How long will it take the wound to close? I only feel pain or sore after I eat. I'm guessing that's normal? And thank you so much for replying.

It will take may be 10 to 40 days the wound to close.
Yeah that pain is normal.
Just take care of few things like
eat soft or liquid foods that can easily rinsed away instead of hard such as popcorn, nuts and potato chips.
For few days avoid drinking through straw.

If your extraction is done just 4 days back, the wound will definitely hurt. This takes time to heal (more time than normal wounds) so do not worry. Gradually the pain should subside. If after a week you still experience the same intensity of pain as you are experiencing now then you can visit your dentist to get it checked.
