Experiencing pain in bottom left jaw. I know I will probably need this wisdom tooth removed. By looking at Xray will the other two have to go as well.

Thanks

Hello lettegrl, You will need to evaluate the bottom left 2nd molar ( the last tooth that you can see in your mouth, not on x-ray). It appears to have caries/decay and thus the pain. Please get it checked first with the dentist before deciding removal of the bottom left wisdom tooth. No need to remove the rest of the wisdom teeth if they are not causing you any trouble. Hope this helped.

It is a good idea to have the lower left one removed, even though I cannot guarantee it is the source of your pain.

The upper two are high-risk extractions right not. If you are young, meaning late teens or early twenties, you might wait to see if they erupt any further. If so, you can have them taken out. If not, the surgical risk of removal might be too great.
