What to do with ankylosed tooth?

Hello everyone!

I wore braces in the past but I was not satisfied with the result so the orthodontist is putting them back on next week. My upper right premolar is still crooked. I was also told that I have an ankylosed tooth in the upper right part of my mouth. What can possibly be done to fix this? Has anyone else had ankylosed tooth? What was done with it? Please share your stories.

Thanks for all the help :)

Hi!

My son has had the same problem. The permanent tooth was blocked from erupting and so the dentist decided to remove the ankylosed tooth.

I also had an ankylosed tooth. It was extracted by the oral surgeon to give way for the permanent tooth to come through behind it.
