Trimming a central incisor

User Level:

Hello all,

One of my top central incisors is longer than the other one. It does not look good and I have started to feel conscious about it. Can this tooth be trimmed for about 2mm from its tip to make it the same in size with the other central incisor? I was also wondering if there is any other efficient treatment/solution to this. Thanks

If you reduce the edge much, it will be sensitive. A much better idea is to have the length adjusted via orthodontics, which should not take long at all.
