Treating a tooth decay without drilling?

Hello,

I'm a cowardly dental patient. Today, I noticed that one of my upper teeth is a little bit in pain. It does not hurt to hot or cold but it hurts when I run my tongue over it. Is it possible for a dentist to treat my tooth without drilling it? I am so nervous and worried about the drilling and filling procedure. I would be very grateful for your response.

Hi!

There are dentists who use ozone gas to kill bacteria in cavities or fissures. It doesn't require drilling but this is only applicable to small cavities.
