Tooth above extraction site

Hi there!

I need some advice please.:-)

Two weeks ago, my top left first molar was extracted. Five days later, I noticed something hard in the upper gum above where the tooth was. The dentist refused to touch it. He said it is alright not to remove it. It bothers me because it hurts when I brush my teeth and it is wiggly. I think it’s a tooth. Should I go to another dentist and have it pulled or just leave it there? Any advice please...thanks!

It is either a piece of bone or a piece of the tooth root. It is all right to remove it yourself with a pair of tweezers, or have another dentist remove. it.

Why on earth did you have a permanent molar extracted?
