Tin foil sensation with new filling

User Level:

Hello,

Two days ago, I had a filling redone on one of my bottom molars on the left side of my mouth. Since then, I always get a tin foil sensation when the filling comes in contact with the tooth above it. Is this normal? Will it go away?

It happens sometimes with metal fillings. It usually goes away after a month or so, once the new filling builds up an oxide layer.
