The pain keeps coming back

Hi everyone!

I got a terrible abscess on one of my top front teeth and had to get a root canal done. After a couple of years, it came back and the pain was worse than before. I took antibiotics and the pain went away. After a year, the problem came back and the pain was unbearable. I went to the dentist, he said my abscess was pretty bad and I had to have a root end surgery (Apicoectomy) done. After several months, the abscess came back. The dentist said, the tooth can no longer be saved and it needs to be removed. During the extraction time, my mouth could not get numb no matter how much anesthetic was used. I could not bear the pain so I asked the dentist if we could have it done next time. He gave me antibiotics and have re-scheduled the extraction. After a week, the tooth was successfully removed. I had an implant put in. I thought that was the end of it but I was wrong. After the implant was put in, I was in horrible pain for a week. All the painkillers that I've tried did absolutely nothing. I went to the dentist today and based from the x-rays the implant was perfectly fitted in and the dentist could not figure out why I am having such amount of pain. He gave me stronger antibiotics and painkillers. Has anyone had a similar experience? Please advise me on what to do! I could not understand what's going on. Thank you so much for any help you can give me.
