Swollen gums and jaw

Hi! The gum around my tooth #29 is severely swollen and painful. My jaw is also swollen. However, when I push the tooth, I barely feel anything. I did have tooth trauma a couple of months back. The pain was there for a couple of months but I just ignored it. Is this something serious? I am going to the dentist next week but I just wanted to know what to expect from there. Thanks!

Probably root canal time. In all probability, the trauma sent the pulp into an inflammatory phase. Afterward the pulp died, and you probably have a dental abscess.
