Swollen gum with pus

It has been two weeks since I have had a swollen gum around my first premolar. I had a root canal done and a crown on this tooth about 3 years ago. I tried to gently rub my finger onto the gum and a small amount of pus came out. The gum and the tooth do not hurt. Does anyone know what could this be? Please help! I am scared!

It sounds like you need to retreat the tooth with another root canal. You should visit the dentist as soon as possible to keep the infection from spreading. You won't feel any pain on that tooth because all the nerves have been removed.

You could have a gum abscess, which is an infection of the gums. You probably need an antibiotic to make sure the infection does not spread to the other parts of your body.
