I had a root canal done on a second molar in the upper right side about 8 days ago. Before the root canal procedure, there was a high spacing in between this tooth and the first molar and food particles always get stuck in that pocket/hole. After the root canal, the space is still there. It goes quite high into the gums. What should I do? I am able to reach the space with half of a razor blade. Please help! Thanks.

Hello,
I am a little confused about the description of the space between your molars. But you should not try to obtain the depth or width with a razor blade. You may end up getting an infection and you do not want to reinfect root canal treated tooth.
Root canal treatment has nothing to do with closing spaces between teeth. RCT removed the pulp of the tooth from the inside of the tooth.
If you want to close space consider orthodontic treatment and consult your general dentist for referral.
