Small indent in my gum

User Level:
Patient

The other day i had noticed a couple small indent in my gum and an the gums were also inflamed. My tooth wasnt decayed or discolored, it just hurt. I feel backwards off a swing the other day and now I have a bruise on my cheek near the gums that have indents. It might just be because of impact but i dont know.. any advice?

Sounds to me like an aphthous ulcer, which can occur after trauma. The center is indented and whitish, and the area around it is red and inflamed. If this indeed is the diagnosis, it will disappear in about 10 days. There is nothing you can do to make it go away.
