Small black round mark on tooth

Dear Doc,

I had some food stuck in my back tooth the other day, and it was so difficult to get out so I had to use the mirror.. thats when I noticed a tiny black round dot (about 1-2mm diameter) on my back left tooth? I have no pain there, or even around there, and I tried scrubbing it off but its not a "mark".. any idea what it could be?? Should I be worried?

There is also a black mark in the middle of my innermost molar. Brushing it thoroughly did not make any difference. How can this be removed? I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks!

Hallo lioncub and borderline!

Sounds to me like it could be the result of caries, or just dental calculus. Either way, the best course of action would be to get it checked out by a dentist, in case it does develop into something serious!

Thank you Dr. Mario:-)

I had it checked yesterday and my dentist confirmed that it's dental caries. He will apply dental fillings next week.
