Slight discoloring of teeth and gaps after braces.

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to use for my questions but i'll proceed anyway. About three years ago I finally finished with braces. I was fine with retainers until about a year and half later ago my top retainer broke. I scheduled an appointment to find that the Orthodontist office had disposed of my retainers and I had to wait a week to get a mold taken. So about a week or two later, with my teeth already spaced out from the time frame, they molded my teeth and I received a new retainer. However, my teeth had already moved slightly and ever since the gaps have really irritated me. Also, my bottom retainer is full of cracks and plaque and one of my teeth is angled inwards. For the most part though, my bottom teeth look fine except for that one tooth. My question is, how should I address the gaps in my upper teeth and the one angled bottom tooth. I obviously need to schedule an appointment to get both fixed but I don't know what I should be expecting or looking for.

Second, some of my teeth are whiter than others. My front bottom and white teeth appear transparent at the top. I've had this for ages but i'm not sure if this is just because of how my teeth naturally are. Helpful responses would be appreciated.

You probably will have to go back to an active aligner of some sort to correct the movement. After correction, try to get a BONDED lower retainer.

Teeth are generally clearer near the incisal edge because the enamel has no opaque dentin behind it. Hard to say what can be done without seeing photos.
