Sinus pressure, ear and neck pain after wisdom tooth extract

Hi there!

My wisdom teeth were impacted and I've had them removed two weeks ago. I've got less pain and swelling but two days after the extraction, I started experiencing sinus problems. I feel a lot of sinus pressure in the upper left jaw especially in the morning. I also have pain in my ears and neck. Today when I rinsed my mouth, water came out of my left nostril. Is this something to be worried about? Thanks for the help!

Hello Serenity!

Go back to your dentist for a check-up. Sometimes, the wall between the wisdom teeth and the sinus cavity could be perforated during the operation. The dentist will perform a surgical procedure to close the hole.

Hi!

Your upper teeth and sinuses have a close relation to one another. When I had my wisdom teeth taken out, the dentist warned me about sinus problem as common side effect of the surgery.
