Hi, I recently had the first half of a root canal done on my canine and now there a slight leak coming out from it, the temporary filling/antibiotic seems to have come out. Is this normal or should I set up an emergency appointment, and is there anything I should do in the meantime?

Hi!

Im assuming the root treatment was very recent and now the filling has come loose and not watertight.

I would visit your dentist this week; you should probably have an appointment to complete the root canal procedure, it can be easily rectified then!

All the best!

Hello,

Yes, book an appointment with the dentist. With a leaky filling, gradually, food will start to get caught and will develop a decay in the tooth.
