Retainer on veneers

Hello,

I have a question that is probably difficult to answer.

I am currently faced with the following decision:

I am 23 years old and I have an open bite combined with a closed bite.

My lower jaw incisors always grasp at my upper jaw incisors. This problem has already destroyed my large anterior teeth.

I wear veneers that truly turned out very beautifully on both trunks.

Now the malocclusion is going to be corrected as well. However, my orthodontist has no experience with veneers and brackets.

Frankly, I have a very hard time trusting him for this procedure, but to be on the safe side, he hasn’t ruled out that the veneers might have to be replaced.

Of course, this is also a question of economics, because I can’t just get two sets of veneers and a fixed retainer at the drop of a hat.

Maybe you have some advice for me.

Thank you.

My dentist typically do not put patients in retainers after veneers. Finish the orthodontic treatment first before you replace your veneer.
