Pulsating pain in a crown

User Level:
Patient

Hello,

Eight years ago, I had a root canal done and a crown placed on tooth #13. Lately, I started to feel pulsating pain in this tooth. I am thinking that there might be an infection and am really worried about it. I’m out of the country for four weeks more and maybe an infection fighting med might keep me good until I would be able to see my dentist back home. Any advice? Thank you in advance.

Don't know what to tell you if you are in foreign soil. Depends on the country. The root canal could be failing, or the tooth may be cracked. It is impossible to tell if antibiotics would help or not without a diagnosis.
