recently i met dentist with the complaint of yellowish discolouration of upper central incisor..i discovered that after removing my braces last year..so during the visit, sensibility test was done and it was unresponsive. radio-graph was taken and she told it is pulp canal obliteration(PCO)..anyway i had history of fall at the age of 6.. fall with mouth hitting the floor and broke the milk tooth of same socket. Now i'm 23 years old.. So the dentist suggested for vital tooth bleaching, putting Veneer as next option and root canal treatment as the last one. She allow to decide on the treatment option..The tooth does not cause any problem except that the yellowish discolouration bothers me..i would like to ask, does vital tooth bleaching helps in the case of PCO? Is there any other suggested treatment?
thank you..

The problem with vital bleaching is making just the affected tooth lighter and not the other ones next to it. That is next to impossible.

I doubt a dentist could find the nerve. If he could, he could do a root canal and bleach internally afterwards. If he could not find the root canal, he could put the bleach in the hole he made trying to find the root canal, and bleach just that one tooth without the rest.

There is no perfect solution, unfortunately.
