Possible tooth abscess?

Hi there,

There is a small white bump growing out of my gum around my lower back molar. It hurts a bit when I bite with this tooth and the gum is slightly swollen. There is no bad taste and no pus. I would only feel pain if I bite down or if touch around it. Could this be the start of an abscess? What can I do to stop it from getting worse? Any advice would be helpful!

It sounds like an abscess to me, especially with the presence of a bump in your gum. Consult your dentist about this before it gets worse.

Hello!

It's most likely a developing abscess. When it is filled with pus, you'll feel unbearable pain. You should head to the dentist now before it gets worse.
