Porcelain Venners on Baby Teeth

User Level:
Patient
Posted by: helpplease  (8 years ago)
I am a 31 year old female with 2 baby teeth still in my mouth (canine cuspid). Around 15 years ago I had oral surgery to remove the 2 impacted adult teeth. I know eventually these baby teeth will fall out and I will need implants. The dentist said my as of now my roots are still very strong (after reviewing x-rays) so a good option would be venners for now to restore the length. Any comments?

You could do that, or you could do all-porcelain crowns on the baby canines. I have been seeing a lot of chipped veneers lately, which scares me from using them. Canines take a lot of force in jaw movements. It is probably the last place I would use veneers. There isn't much difference in price between the porcelain crowns and the porcelain veneers.
