Permanent Retainer

I am hoping I can get an answer about my new Permanent Retainer. I was wondering how exactly I am supposed to floss with it. Also I was wondering if it will ever come off on it's own and what to do if it does. Thanks!

Hello bestpcgeek!

I also wear a retainer and mainly use a water jet; you have to apply it on a regular basis though because if the tartar becomes too hard, then the force of the water jet is not enough to remove the bacteria.

If the retainer should come loose, which can happen now and again, then a quick visit to your dentist is all you need; s/he will simply reattach the retainer.

All the best!
Liebe Grüße JB

Hi,

I used waterpik. It is great for braces and retainers.
