Periodontitis and Bone Loss

Hello!

A couple of months ago, I've been diagnosed of periodontitis and the dentist scheduled me for treatment. But due to lack of dental insurance, I kept postponing it until I got severe infection. I also discovered that some of my teeth are already loose so I went to the dentist. After full dental X-rays, he informed me that I already have extremely advanced periodontitis with 90% bone loss. He scheduled me for scaling and root planning and he said I need to undergo flap surgery after.

Aside from these treatments, what else can I do to prevent further bone loss due to periodontitis? Please help me. I want to save my teeth.

Thank you very much in advance!

Hi!

Try interdental brushes. They are great for cleaning in between the teeth. Take foods that are rich in calcium like milk, yogurt and cheese.
