Partial tooth extraction

Hi there!

Two weeks ago, I went to the dentist due to an infected tooth. He put me on antibiotics and pain killers. He said, I need to undergo root canal treatment when the infection is gone, but I cannot afford it so we agreed to have the tooth pulled.

Three days ago, I went back to him to have my tooth extracted. He numbed me up. When it's time to pull the tooth out, he had a hard time. He tried to pull harder, snapped part of the tooth off, but he just couldn't pull it out. He said the roots might be hooked down around the jawbone. I am scheduled to see an oral surgeon.

Now I am in terrible pain. I can't eat anything. The antibiotics and pain killers he gave me are not helping. Any suggestions on this? Please help me ease the pain!

I would really be grateful for your feedback!

Hi blogger!

Ask for some stronger pain medication from your dentist. Oral surgeon would be a better choice to avoid complications. You can call the place you were referred to, and see if you can make the appointment earlier. Good luck!

You might have dry socket. Go see you dentist, they can place something in the socket.
