Palpitations

User Level:
Patient

Hello,

I have a broken tooth that was abscessed. For the past few days, I have been experiencing palpitations and headache. The palpitations almost seem non-stop especially during the day. Does bad infection cause rapid pulse or palpitations? Will it go away once the tooth is treated? Please help! I am having it checked at the dentist two days from now but I would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you very much.

Any infection in your body is a risk. Infection raises body core temperature and pulse a little. Is that what you are referring to with "palpatations?"
