Pain on the adjacent teeth after filling

Good day!

I had a cavity filled on one of my molars, and now I am suffering from an intense pain on the adjacent teeth for more than a week already. They were very sensitive to biting and to anything hot and cold. I guess my teeth are so sensitive to drilling, that the nerves in the surrounding teeth
get irritated. Has anyone else been into this? What can I do to ease the pain and sensitivity?

I highly appreciate your answers!

Hi Eliza,

If the edge of the filling is not shaped or smoothed properly, the adjacent teeth or gums may be irritated. Have your dentist take a look at it.

Dear Eliza,

You may need a bite adjustment or you could have a fractured tooth. Schedule an appointment with your dentist as soon as you can.
