Pain and black patch from a root canalled tooth

Hi everyone,

I have an abscess on my first molar on the lower right side. I went to the dentist to get a root canal and a crown done. Everything was fine until after a week, I started to have terrible pain from the crowned tooth.

I went to the dentist three times to have my bite filed down but the pain was still there. After a few days, I noticed a red swelling between the tooth with the root canal and the tooth beside it (second molar). I went back to the dentist to have this checked. He told me, it was an inflammation and he put me on antibiotics again. After I finished the course of antibiotics, the pain did not go away. The dentist asked me to take some more antibiotics. After another week with the antibiotics, the inflammation was gone but not the pain. I tried to live with it.

After a month, I saw a black patch at the back of the root canalled tooth. I immediately went to the dentist to complain about this. He said it was a part of the filling and he just filed the tooth.

It has been five days now since he filed it, the black patch is still there and I am still in pain. What else should the dentist do? Does the black patch at the back of my tooth indicate a problem? Please advise me! Thank you very much for your time.

If there is reinfection in root canal, root cancal treatment has to be redone....
