I developed pain two and a half week ago. Not sharp or strong, but dull and annoying . Had implant fitted in end of November last year. Tried salt water ,but nothing helping. Will go to dentist next week.does anyone know why pain could occur? I hope it's not regection of implant.would appreciate any replies .

I had a similar complaint. I am not sure of the reason. However, I feel the pain more localized to the neighbour tooth, not the implant. You can check my post and let me know if you have the same problem.

There can be various reason behind the pain such as a bit of inflammation, blocked salivary gland, some kind of nerve problem like a gum “cold sore”. Check with your dentist, as exact reason cannot be given without the evaluation of teeth.
