Numb teeth

Hi everyone,

Five months ago, I was on a party and this really drunk guy accidentally swung his arm up and hit my front teeth hard. They hurt for a little while then went away. After a few weeks, I noticed that those teeth had numb sensations. I did not go to the dentist to have them looked at. I learned to live with it. Up to this day, my teeth are still numb. They are not painful at all, no sensitivity to pressure and temperature. My question is will this numbness go away? I’ve never been to the dentist for the past five years. I’m planning to go to my regular dentist next week for dental cleaning and I would surely tell her about my numb teeth but I would like to hear your insights about this. Thanks.

They should be electrically and thermally tested on a periodic basis. Most probably the blood supply was severed, and the nerves are dying on the way to abscesing. I would try to locate the contact information on this guy and have a list of witnesses, as his stupidity is probably going to really cost you.
