My gums hurt while I brush my teeth

Dear Checkdent!

The bottom right side of my gum hurts so bad while I brush my teeth. I do not exert much effort while brushing and I use a soft toothbrush. Anyone who know what could this be? Should I be worried about it?

I appreaciate your replies.:-)

Dear ihope!

It could be the result of a gum inflammation.

You are doing the correct thing, keep brushing thoroughly, even if it bleeds a little.

If the pain doesn’t subside after 2-3 days of proper oral hygiene then it’s time to visit a dentist!
