My bottom front tooth is pushed back

Hi everybody!

My bottom teeth are too crowded and the middle front tooth was pushed straight back. The two teeth on both sides of the middle front tooth have started closing in front of it. I still have all my wisdom teeth in. I did not have them extracted because I am terrified of the dentist. After a few years, it has gotten worse, my teeth had slid further forward. The front tooth was pushed back so far and its sharp edge is cutting my tongue. I really want to get this fixed now. My tongue does not seem to fit flat in my mouth anymore because of the front tooth that was pushed back. I will be going to the dentist next week but I wanted to know beforehand what are the possible ways to fix my teeth. Is the treatment for this complicated? Please advise! Thanks a lot.

Hello. You will most likely be advised to wear braces to eliminate the crowding and relieving your tongue from constantly being injured. You may also be given the option to have an extraction done to introduce space for your teeth to fit in. In any case please do not be afraid of the dentist you can always ask questions and obtain explanations to al the treatment needed for you.
