My 9-year-old daughter broke her front tooth

Hello all!

My 9-year old daughter broke her front tooth in half when she accidentally hit the handle bars of her bike. It put a horizontal crack on the tooth beside it. She didn't have bleeding and was only on a slight pain on the first day but now the pain has completely gone. The dentist said, the root needs time to desensitize and there is no need to worry since there is no pain. We should wait and observe the teeth for a few weeks. Is this the usual protocol? Should I bring my daughter to other dentist? Please advise! Thank you very much!

Go to another dentist. I think this should be fixed now. If you delay the treatment, the tooth will continue to crack and will cause some damage to the nerves and tooth enamel. The dentist will most likely bond the damaged tooth.
