Metallic taste after deep cleaning

User Level:
Patient

I had scaling and root planing done on the left side three weeks ago. One week later, one of my teeth on the upper left side started to hurt and turned gray. I went to the dentist for check up. He said the nerve was dying. He referred me to an endodontist for root canal. After the root canal, the tooth was filled with composite filling.

About a week ago, I had the second half of the deep cleaning done (in the right side). Now, I noticed a metallic taste in my mouth. Is this related to the deep cleaning that I had? The filled tooth is fine. Any ideas?
