Loose dental implant

User Level:
Patient

Hello,

Five weeks ago, I have my implant put in. Five days ago, the dentist put a temporary crown on it. Yesterday, the tooth came a little bit loose. The dentist wanted me to use a night guard because he thinks the dental implant became loose because of clenching. I was not diagnosed of teeth grinding or clenching before. How common is an implant getting loose? Does this signify that the implant is failing? Is it possible for the bone to refuse around the implant after it became loose? Please advise! I am scared that the implant will have to be taken out and we will start all over again. Thanks so much.
