Knocked- out tooth

User Level:
Patient

Hi!

I had a nasty fall this morning and one of my top front teeth was knocked out. The damage was pretty bad. The tooth was knocked out in its entirety from the root. I’m going to the dentist tomorrow. I was just wondering if someone could tell me how this tooth would be saved. I am optimistic that this tooth is still fixable. Any information would be great.

You mean the entire tooth was knocked out including the root? ( A tooth INCLUDES the root.) Unless you put that tooth back in its socket within 30 minutes after it was knocked out, there is almost zero chance it will survive if replanted. Your best option is an immediate implant and bone graft, if you can find someone to do it
