Hi..I am diabetic and planning to do a root canal treatment in Sierra Dental, Calgary. Will any cuts made take longer to become healed? My friend says that extraction would be a better option. Because if it doesn’t work then i’ll have to go and have work on the same tooth again & again. That’s what i’m worrying about. Kindly advise.

Don't listen to your friend. A root canal poses MUCH less risk to a diabetic than an extraction. Diabetics tend to lose more bone than the average patient. That is why the success rate for implants in diabetics is 5-10% lower in diabetics. Which is another reason why you want to SAVE the tooth rather than extract it.
The point is whether your diabetes is controlled or not. To my knowledge, there are no dental procedure forbidden for well-controlled diabetics.
