Dear Checkdent Doctor!
I am considering getting my amalgam inlays replaced and am tented to get ceramic inlays. How much more expensive will the initial investment be compared to alternatives and which alternatives would you recommend?

Hey Brunov!

Ceramic inlays are without a doubt a very good choice! If you further optimize your brushing technique - more on that in the video "Tooth Brushing Tips" - then this investment definitely makes sense.

Further information can be found in the videos "Ceramic Inlay", "Teeth Bonding" and "Air Block Gel".

Prices can range between 300$-800$, depending on the dentist and where the treatment is performed. Ideally you should pick 3-4 dentists from your city, and then evaluate the according prices. Make sure you choose a dentist with whom you feel comfortable though, not only the price is important!

Hello Brunov!

I had my amalgam fillings replaced with ceramic inlays. They give an extremely effective aesthetic result. I had mine done in the UK at a cost of £800.
