Incision site from corrective jaw surgery hurt

User Level:
Patient

Hi,

About nine years ago, I had corrective jaw surgery done. They placed pins in my upper and lower jaw. For the past few weeks, I have been getting pain in one of the incision sites. The pain seems to be getting worse each day. Should the plates and screws from the incision site be replaced now? I am really getting worried. Please advise me what to do. Thanks.
