Implant Spacing and Placement Planning?

User Level:
Patient
Posted by: runninghoove  (10 years ago)
If a person wanted to minimize long-term bone loss in the spaces between the implants themselves, what would be the safest minimum placement distance (in millimeters) between each implant?

ALSO, all variables aside (costs, bone quality, misc risks) which would typically be a better solution for long-term boneloss prevention:

4-6 vertically placed implants?
10-12 vertically placed implants?

This would be for full maxillary-arch restoration consisting of multiple implants for either individual crowns (tooth for tooth implants) or a fixed-bridge or hybrid-type prosthesis.

Dear Runninghoove !

In the case of maxillary arch restoration, it needs 6-8 implants to place a bridge of procelain built by 11-14 parts up to the patient.
