Implant – bone resorption

User Level:
Patient

Hi,

In October of last year, my #26 tooth was pulled and now the #25 has been pulled. I would like to replace these teeth with implants. My dentist says that I should visit him in three months and he will then check out the possibility of implants (it seems the inflammation at the #25 tooth site has yet to heal completely).

My question is:

Is it possible to put an implant in without bone augmentation in the area of the #26 tooth after one year, or can it be assumed that, as a rule, the bone resorption is already well advanced?

Best regards,

Jarquin
