On the Friday 16th of February 2016 I went to Asheville Affordible Dentures (AAD) and had my last 8 bottom teeth that were so soft they wouldn't hold fillings anymore pulled, and to get dentures made. Well afterwards having them tair, brake, dig and sow my lip to my gums, my mouth hurt so bad I looked in the mirror and started crying, as soon as I saw a bone sticking out under my thong and one trying to stick out into my lips on the front other side. There was no way I could have wore my cheaper than cheap, not what the government had paid for or even close to what they had shown me, teeth they made for me. The next Monday in bad pain I went to my dentist 1 hour away, to see what she could do for me, just to be told I needed the go to my family doctor for antibiotics right away I had a bad infection, and that was bone and not tooth cartilage or tooth but was bone and I already had an infection and could die from it. I went to my Doctor twice for antibiotics. They sent me back to (AAD) to find a surgeon. They did look at me and wanted to just break off the bones. I was so glad I had when to the dentist and was told what not to do. I wouldn't let them do that. I had a friend of mine with me who pointed out and took pictures of the rusty microwave and the way they cleaned their tools and where they made their teeth where everyone had to walk right by them. They did give me a number for a surgeon two hours away, after I made a scene. I called and begged to get in to see them just to be told they no longer took (AAD) patients because of the damage was to hard to fix or impossible to fix. It took me days of phone calls and internet searches and begging before getting into a dental surgeon 3 hours away in Charlotte NC. the end of March, I was so happy. He was a very nice man who wanted to fix me up, I finally had hope, then when I woke up after the surgery, he told me he could not fix my gums there was to much damage. He had to cut out all my gums in the front of my mouth, and even some from under my tongue, I had no gums to even hold a denture, they troughed away my dentures, and said I couldn't have never wore them because of the loss of my gums. It would take me a year to finally heal but still without any bottom teeth or gums and not being able to eat a good diet only soft mostly sweet foods. I have gain 20 lbs. but I cut and hurt the back gums from sometimes even eating bread I cut them up. What I would love to eat a steak or roast, anything I can't even eat a salad. I don't go out no more because I am so embarrassed of the way I look. I am 54 now and I have always been a nice looking lady, trying hard to be healthy and strong, now I look so bad everyone ask what happened to me. I am disabled now with Medicare and Medicaid do you know of anyone who can help me I was told I could have a prosthesis made so I could get a bottom denture, or maybe a implant. I am looking for help Please if anyone knows of someone who can help me, I would be so grateful to get my life back. If able I will attach pictures.

Yours is a sad story. Some lessons to draw from it:

1. If you expect to get something free from the government via the taxpayers, you will be severely disappointed with the quality of it.
2. I bet dentists throughout you life told you over and over to take care of your teeth. You can see now why they were right.
3. A sleazy corporate clinic like you went to is the worst place imaginable to have dental treatment done.

Nobody wants to do free dentures for people because the lab work is so expensive to have done. Perhaps after healing has progressed (4 or preferably 6 months) a good dentist can reline the unusable dentures you have. Relines cost about on third of the cost of a new denture.

To pay for this, think of some work you could do for a dentist- even if it is as simple of cleaning his office, trimming his shrubs, or similar. Offering work in return for treatment is a lot more enticing to most dentists than merely begging for charity.

Tell all your friends who are tempted to go to a cheap denture clinic that advertises on TV of your experience. To many people, what they see on TV is reality. Unfortunately, and dentist that usually has to advertise on TV to get patients doesn't have much to offer in the way of service.

I’ve recently been wanting to get my teeth whitened. I’ve been doing my research on where I could go and get this procedure done, and after all my research, reading a ton of Dentzz reviews I decided to drop by the Dentzz clinic. I went in for a consultation and I was so amazed with all the information I got.I would like to suggest you Dentzz for any kind of dental problems, you must visit once. It's really an unfortunate thing to happen. But, I'd agree with Dr. Kim, you must share your experience so others will learn from it.
