Hello again. I had sinus lift on 22/07 and had an appointment to remove stiches today. But in the morning when I came there the clinic was closed. I tried to reach by phone the nurse who said to me she is on holidays and clinic will be only opened on Friday and appointment for today was given by mistake. She said to me I can wait til then to remove my stiches or remove myself. I am worried that it such a long time stiches are not removed but it the same time I am afraid to do it myself as I am not a nurse and don't have any medical education. Please give me advise what to do? Is it dangerous to leave stiches till Friday? Or should I tried to remove it myself and how to do it ? Many thanks.

Leaving them a long time poses no danger. In fact they will eventually fall out themselves. You can wait a while longer if you are afraid to snip them with scissors.

Leaving them longer is not usually a problem, except for the fact that they will start to annoy your tongue so the chances of stitches getting buried with a routine extraction are small. The longer they stay, though, the more chance you have of getting food caught around them, which can reduce the speed of healing. If it is only going to be a few extra days, or even an extra week, wait until your dentist returns. There is a lot of benefit in seeing the dentist who placed the stitches, as they will know where they were placed and will be able to remove them easier.
