How to rebuild bone?

User Level:
Patient

Hello!

I went to the dentist five days ago because my first molar on the upper right side has been hurting. He said I needed a root canal done. I went to an endodontist who told me the tooth was very infected and I had a lot of bone loss. I had the root canal procedure done three days ago. I was hoping that the infection is already gone.

Is there something I can do to re-build the bone? The tooth is a bit loose. Please help me out on this. I do not want to have more bone loss. Any information would be great. Thanks.

As long as the root canal is FINISHED and done well, the body should start to rebuild the bone you have lost.
