At an oral surgeons office for extractions, oral surgeons has higher prices. I know discount plans have just 20% discount, but that's not enough. I don't have dental insurance. Anyway else to get more % discounts besides going to a dental clinic.

Dental fees are as expensive as they are because dental practice overhead is as expensive as it is. Say "thank you" to politicians who voted for new Obamacare taxes on medical and dental supplies. Say thank you for expensive HIPPA and OSHA regulations that increase the cost of private practice. Say thank you for increased drug license fees dentists must pay. Say thank you for the Americans with Disability Act forcing dentists to have enormous office sizes compared to other countries.

Sorry, your government has made health care very expensive. If you don't like it, get rid of the taxes and regulations.

The only thing I can suggest is have a general dentist with surgical experience from the armed services do your extractions. That will save some money.

What the hell kind of answer is that? If dentists don't like the expensive cost of things, then don't complain to and blame the patient. That goes to show which dentist is really for patients health or greedy for money. Also if every dentist was experience instead of botching up teeth, then patients wouldn't have to spend more money for dental work. But I guess since suing a dentist is not always easy, a careless dentist doesn't take the time to be careful with the patients teeth.

I thought the ObamaGod was going to lower health costs 25% if we passed his stupid bill. What happened?

I don't have any idea why you want teeth extracted because you did not specify. From what you say, my guess is you went to some sleazy chain clinic trying to save money and they messed something up.

Like other businessmen, dentists have overhead. My supplies cost over $200O per month, my phone service $400, electricity $500, my rent $4000, and my staff salaries about $6000 twice monthly. My overhead is made higher by the government. You won't get dental care for a 40%, 50%, or higher discount because dentists would lose money providing it.

This is a universal principle. It is the same reason you will not find gas for your car at $1.50 per gallon, flights to London for $250, or apples for 49 cents a pound. Do you curse gas stations, airlines, or orchard owners? Blame "greed" if you want to, but if you are honest, you can blame the Federal Reserve for debasing the currency, or the politicians for overtaxing and over-regulating business.

If you think dentistry is so overpriced, I will rent you my instruments and you can have a family member extract your teeth.

I gave you a practical solution: use a general dentist with good surgical experience. Other than that, go to a third world country and take your chances saving money. I have a good dentist friend in Romania that will be happy to treat you.

I agree that there are politicians who overtax and over-regulate. My last comment wasn't specifically about you. I'll probably have to spend more money than I want, but that'll be better than no dental care.
