Gum Pain

I have healthy teeth with not even a filling in my 30 years. I brush regularly but for the last few months i get a sharp pain when i apply pressure to the gum above my right front tooth. I only feel this pain when i apply pressure and my gum is not swollen or bleeding and it looks just like the rest of my gums.

Any clues on where the pain is coming from?

Did your teeth hit sometime ago?
can you see any colour change on a tooth in that region?

Is it possible that a tooth in the area where the pain is, has a problem under the gum line? I read on thisisdentistry.co.uk that pain may be caused in the part of the tooth that is hidden below the gum line. If you have no gum problems, maybe a dental x-ray can make sure the problem is not coming from the teeth? Good luck!
