Granulous tissue

User Level:
Patient

Hello there!

Four days ago, I had a tooth pulled by an oral surgeon. I was in pain the first two days but I was able to manage it through painkillers. Yesterday, the pain was unbearable; nothing can control it. I went to my regular dentist who asked me to go back to the oral surgeon because of a growing granulous tissue that needs to be scraped out.

How can this be treated and how long will I be in pain? Please advise me. Any help would be highly appreciated.

You probably have a dry socket, which will have to be packed with disinfectants on guaze several times over the next few days before you feel better.
